Vacations !!!
With a great sailboat and large lake near our home, we often make an ordinary weekend into a mini-vacation by spending the weekend on the water sailing with our friends and family.

We also try to take as many big vacations as possible, we are very fortunate that our current jobs allow us to spend a few weeks a year at our most favorite getaways. Galveston Island has been a quick and easy place to get to and we are probably there two weeks a year. I am expanding my marine art business in that area and the art gallery that I contribute to is located there, so sometimes it‚s even a business trip!

For the past few years we have discovered Destin, Florida, yes, it's quite a drive from Dallas but as you can see from some of these pictures it's well worth it! We are planning to visit the Destin area every year, the emerald coast from Pensacola to Panama City is also known as one of the best sailing areas (not to mention the fishing!) in the country. Eventually we would love to move our boat there and retire among the white sand and emerald water.
