October 20, 2003 News from Artistry Marine Art
It’s been a while since I’ve updated my news page so there
are serveral things to announce. Artistry Marine Art has
participated in many events in the summer of 2003! Some of
these were charity events and others were for some of my
boating friends. The 2003 Wooden Keels and Classic Wheels
at Lakewood marina in Seabrook, Texas is always my best
show. Had a great week of racing action at the Dallas
Race Week at Chandlers Landing in Lake Ray Hubbard
followed by two Extreme Boats Poker Runs at Lake
Texoma. The Dallas Summer Boat Show was the best yet
and after that I did a Poker Run and Regatta for the
Bayview Boat Club also in Lake Ray Hubbard. The most
recent event was the Lewisville Cup Regatta for the
Arts for People Charity. Spent a great day in Athens
Texas at the “Best Little Art Show in Texas”
festival, I am planning to do more of these art festivals
around Texas in the future!
2003 Dallas Winter Boat Show Feb. 1 - Feb. 9
Once again a great boat show and very good responses from everyone who visited
my booth. It was nice to see so many return customers which made my sales and commissions even better than last year! Could not have been that way if were not for my sponsors, especially The Slalom Shop and the management of the boat show.
Lancaster Art Club - Watercolor Demonstration____Sept. 3 2002
The Lancaster Art Club in Lancaster, Texas asked me to perform a watercolor painting demonstration for thier members on September 3. It was a very successful demo but also very challenging to explain how I produce my art while actually painting! The Lancaster Art Club is a great group of artists and I would like to thank everyone there for this opportunity. I am looking forward to meeting with them again with the possibility of holding a watercolor workshop sometime in the future.
Dallas Summer
Boat Show
July 12.13.14 and July
19,20,21
Had
a great time at the Dallas Summer Boat Show, although a much smaller
attendance that the winter boat show.
It was great to meet so many people who were already familiar with
my work and even some who were already collectors!
Many thanks to the Slalom Shop, Darrell Wilson and his crew, they
are truly the best sponsors I could have. Looking forward to the winter
boat show in 2003.
